Patio Furniture

Furniture for outdoor use (known as Casual Furniture) is available in many different materials and styles.  When selecting casual furniture, pay particular attention to construction details, materials, and warranties.  Furniture destined for outdoor use has to be able to survive UV rays from the sun as well as rain or even snow.  Fabrics specifically intended for outdoor use (such as Sunbrella) are guaranteed to resisting fading in the sun. Avoid furniture with a short lifespan, for it just increases the loads on our landfills, and ends up costing over time when it must be purchased again and again.

Metal Furniture

Metal Patio Furniture

Smooth & sleek or
   ornate & sumptuously adorned.

Metal casual furniture is normally manufactured from aluminum, iron, or stainless steel.  In general, quality metal patio furniture needs little to no maintenance, and has a very long life.  Aluminum furniture tends to be the most lightweight of the three, iron the heaviest.  Look for powder-coated frames to ensure scratch-resistant finishes.  Click here for more information about different metal types and their characteristics.

Wicker & Woven

Wicker Patio Furniture

Timeless or Cutting Edge -
    Woven goes both ways

Wicker and woven are available in natural and synthetic materials; natural wicker is great in a protected  environment (such as a covered patio), while high-quality synthetic woven can generally be left out in the elements.  This category is one where the old adage "You get what you pay for" is especially applicable!  Villa Terrazza's collections of woven furniture all feature strong warranties, and are woven onto welded aluminum frames for durability outdoors.  Click here for more information on wicker and woven.   Go to Top of Page

Wood

Wooden Outdoor Furniture

The warmth of wood offers richness and verve.

There is something about an old, weathered teak set that still performs well..  In general, wood looks fantastic when it is new.  If you don't mind a little upkeep you can keep it looking new.  But the real charm is an old wood set with character, yet solid bones.  Depending on the wood species used, many dining tables have ingenious leaves that fold away into the tables.  There are many types of wood used for patio furniture Click here for more informationClick here for Top of page

Stone Tabletops

Stone Table Tops

Nothing says "Old World" like a stone tabletop

Nothing combines durability and great looks like a stone table.  From a simple slab of granite to an Italian inlaid travertine table, to a ornate tile mosaic, there is a look for every decor.  Stone tables can be frightfully heavy, so we make sure you have a base that can support the weight without 'whiplash'.  In the elements, a stone table will benefit from an annual treatment with a stone sealer/enhancer, a simple step that restores its luster.  There are many types of stone tables, click here to find out more.   Go to Top of page

Lounging

Outdoor Lounge Chairs

Sometimes its OK to be a Slouch

Outdoor furniture to relax in comes in many forms.  From sofa or an outdoor swivel gliding lounge chair to an exquisite chaise lounge, today's premuim outdoor furniture rivals the best indoor cushions in their construction and sumptuousness, yet is manufactured from materials which scoff at rain and the sun's UV rays!  When selecting outdoor lounges, look for plush cushions made with reticulated foam, such as Sta-Dri, which does not absorb water but instead allows it to run right through it.  If the furniture will need to be moved frequently, look for lightweight aluminum or perhaps wheels so it can be rolled.  Go to Top of Page

Its been a hard day. Chaises

Caution: May be nap-forming

A few laps in the pool, and then stretch out in the zone.  Read a book.  Have a snooze.  Chaise is the French word for... chaise.  Who knows better about relaxing than the French?  Mon deau, so many choices! Choose quick-drying sling chaises (such as pictured above) for next to the pool, where wet bathing suits are the norm.  Other choices include woven (with or without a pad) and deep-cushioned chaises for the most comfort.  Go to Top
