The importance of investing in quality furniture cannot be over-emphasized. Furniture which is well constructed will cost less over time than 'throw-away' furniture that may fall apart after just a few years, and cannot be repaired. Well-constructed furniture is characterized by hardwood frames, blocked, glued and dowelled for strength. Eight-way hand-tied springs give the best 'ride'. Avoid furniture that has particleboard and wood-decals - minor surface dings cannot be repaired.
